I beat Diabolical Box today. B-but like... I didn't even KNOW I was beating it! It just happened! I-is that all there is ._. I breezed through it compared to the first game (well, all the L-SHAPED BLOCK PUZZLES KIND OF MADE ME CRY) so now I'm really confused.

Arrrgh I still love it though. Am I the only one who... laughed, during the big cutscene at the end? LAYTON YOU HAVE TO STOP BEING AWESOME BEFORE THE WORLD COLLAPSES UNDER YOUR WEIGHT!!11 I seriously started laughing, because I couldn't quite believe what I was seeing. ... In a good way. Go through your AIM/MSN/whatever logs.
Take a large passage of substantial, "typical" conversation. Try to avoid reading it.
Use the Replace All tools to switch all the parties' names so that all speakers' apparent genders are reversed.
Clear your mind of what you might have seen of the passage and read it again with the changed names.
Repeat until you start seeing patterns.
Don't post convos without the other person's permission, but do summarize your impressions of the results.

mango_sama, you would be the gayest boy ever. Just letting you know. We are talking fruity, batshit fruity, with rainbows and pink sleeveless shirts all the time. I called you Michael. It was pretty funny. ... Gelg sounds like an older woman, for some reason. I'm not sure why. Also I called you Sally.

... I sure do curse a lot. And depending on what I'm talking about at any given moment, I sound like a vaguely dismissive ass of a guy, or a screaming fruitcake.

London:

- Smells of horse poo (it was really the first thing that struck me)
- Has some really awesome tea
- Is not the sort of place I'd want to live
- Has a hell of a lot of Chinese places to eat (edit: But the average American Chinese take out beats the average London take out, it seems)
- 's Tate Gallery is somewhat overrated (though I didn't get to go into the Orientalist exhibit :( That breaks my heart, but dude it was ten pounds per person, which comes out to forty bucks. The exchange rate punches deep into your butt.) Also the Tate Modern is probably cooler. In more ways than one because this place was tres stuffy and hot.
- has some extremely nice people, but it's extremely entertaining listening to someone get angry over the phone in their lovely accents. The concierge was getting something for us, and the operator was giving him a hard time and he goes "Is tha' right? Well, it's a bloody company, how coul' it possibly be in th' bloody die-rec-t'ry?" Also the constant dropping of letters amuses me.)
- has some very small hotel rooms. My room back at home is bigger than this, AND it has AC. And a ceiling fan. Luckily this place isn't humid or even that hot at all. But the typical American hotel room is seriously about three times bigger than this, unless you're checking into the Hilton or something.
- HAS NO FREE REFILLS NOOOOOO
- has made my mom think I have a crush on Christian Bale.

I'm thinking it's actually a bit overrated, but we haven't taken the castle tour yet. Maybe I'll be able to sit on the Queen. Plus I'm not very interested in gawking at superexpensive department stores and I'm not terribly impressed by bars.
